Relic Hunters Zero: Remix

Hey, Hunters! So many updates! Earlier today I posted about a beta branch so that Mac players could play the game without interruption, with an understanding that it might take us a few days to fix the other issues and push those changes live. Turns out it took just a few hours. All outstanding issues with our Mac build have been solved. The game will now load properly and you will be eligible for Steam achievements while playing Mac! A working Mac version through the 'default' branch on Steam that has Steam functionality (e.g. working Steam achievements)

Hey, Hunters! This is a small update for Mac users only. In our big Remix announcement, we highlighted that there were problems with the Mac version of the game that we’re actively working on fixes for. This is the fruit of that work. If you right click on Relic Hunters Zero: Remix in the left hand side of your Steam library and head to “Properties > Betas,” you will see a drop down menu containing “mac_beta.” If you select that beta, you’ll change your game build to one that launches Relic Hunters Zero: Remix appropriately! Please note, however, that it does not have Steam achievement functionality. In other words, your Steam profile will not recognize that you have unlocked achievements; however, achievements will unlock normally through the in-game achievement system. Today, the long-awaited Relic Hunters Zero: Remix Update hits Steam absolutely free! The Relic Hunters Zero: Remix update takes off with significant updates and expansions to the game’s classic, addicting game modes! We’ve brought in ten new weapons from the game’s top content creators, toggleable skins for every playable character, a bangin’ new soundtrack of high energy tunes, and a whole suite of long-asked-for bug fixes and optimizations! Speaking of that soundtrack, pick it up today on Steam as well, so you too can vibe with “Spaceheart'' or rock out to “Duke Ducan Forever. The update does bring one small change that I want to take a moment to highlight. Relic Hunters Zero: Remix won’t be an open-source product. While the original release of Relic Hunters Zero will remain up and playable for all players in its current state, we won’t be able to freely release the code underlying the Remix update. This isn’t intended to disrupt the use of Steam Workshop mods, but it’s likely that mod creators will need to update their content to properly interface with the Remix Update.
