EARLY ACCESS UPDATE 0.5.3 Hey! As per our discord update, we’re slow but steady over the last few months (and intend to be so for a bit longer as we wrassle with RL stuff). The downside: Slow. The Upside: Steady! So here’s some polish, goodies and work in progress (especially a lot of work on our next level and new creatures to be revealed in a future update) coming to your favorite blood-soaked-streaming-gladiator goodness! (thanks @LeoFonseca) -- Added new rooms Bugs & Polish: -- Enabled murderpedia entry for Blood & Anger (good catch @Seebo) -- Fixed the collision position for several of the corner columns so that they line up correctly with the wall collision -- The falling object catcher, mouse blocker, and path mesh volume now all scale themselves to the same map sized region -- Fixed an issue where pickupables were not actually using the more aggressive collision detection they were supposed to be using (thanks @Justice) -- Fixed an issue stopping you from earning champ achievements for any character other than Decimus (thanks @ David) -- Cleaned up some items that don't yet have icons by

Greetings, Gladiators! With the new year, we figured it was the right time to share a more generalized update on the State of Gone Viral as we move through Early Access. If you are looking for the headline up front - we’ve been slow right now, and are aiming to bring Gone Viral out of Early Access later this year. Here’s wassup: The end of 2020 turned out to be uniquely challenging (not just for us!) and development slowed down considerably from our usual frenetic pace through December and January. But we’re adapting - working around some personal stuff on the team while adjusting to having launched Early Access into a crowded window (check out our Discord for more skinny). We’ll update more as plans firm up and with more info as we know it! We’re now spending time fixing bugs and addressing suggestions, as well as working on a new level, creatures, and a new boss. It’s definitely a huge priority for us to deliver something really cool in the next update, and we think you’ll love what we’ve got cooking! Hey, Gladiators! Enjoying the latest patch? The Hollywood Scares update has been out for a few days and if you haven't seen the news, read the patch notes, or checked out the game I'm here to give you the goods! The new character Jo the Skullcracker is out, new Mutations are out, a new voiceover is out, new items are out, it's just good news up and down the line. Jo has extra health and starts with the giant Pulverizer hammer If Jo can successfully attack quickly after being damaged, she gains a half-heart back She unlocks a unique Carnage Item that will damage her to gain extra power After becoming famous enough, she gains Thick Skin - taking only half damage from attacks, making her highly resilient on tougher Insanity levels She’s currently locked up for the protection of the arena denizens - find her in the dungeon and set her free!
