Since our initial launch in 2024, we have worked tirelessly to refine the experience, guided by the invaluable feedback you’ve shared with us. Beyond the additional DLC campaigns and the massive "Julius" 2.0 update—which introduced World Wonders, legal trials, complex production chains, and expanded diplomacy—we have now overhauled the interface to make the game even better on handheld. ✅ We are proud to announce that Citadelum is now officially Steam Deck Verified! ✅ What does this mean for you? Steam Deck Verification ensures a seamless experience through several key features: Full Controller Support: Every function is fully accessible via the Deck’s controls. Ave Citizens! We have important news to share with our dedicated community. Since the release of our empire-building game, Citadelum, we have been dedicated to improving the experience with several major updates and free content releases. We introduced four new campaigns to the main story mode: Campaign II: Last Conqueror of Britannia, Campaign III The Lost Eagles of Germania, Campaign IV: The Gallic Wars, and Campaign V: The Third Punic War. Each campaign was initially released for free, completing our vision of ancient Roman history by adding new biomes, challenging battles, unique enemies, and fresh mechanics to the core game. On top of that, they gave us the opportunity to present historical characters such as Agricola, Germanicus or Julius Caesar. Price Adjustment for Campaign DLCs We want every player who has supported us from the beginning to enjoy this content, and many of you already have it for free. Those who already downloaded the DLCs, will still be able to enjoy them for free. However, we are announcing a price change for these four Campaign DLCs. Starting on January 12th of next year, these DLCs will no longer be free and will be individually priced at $0.99 USD / €0

With the release of Update 2.0 of Citadelum (Devlog XVII: RUBICON Huge gameplay update and new features in Citadelum) we have dedicated much of the efforts to improve the optimization. At the end of the devlog you will find the complete list of improvements. Ave, citizens of Rome, It's been six months since the launch of Citadelum, and from our team, Abylight Barcelona, we want to thank the trust and commitment of all those players who have already built their own Roman empire with us. We have listened to the feedback from the community, and worked hard to offer you a new version of the game; Citadelum 2.0 Julius is a free update that adds new gameplay options, more depth to the management and construction of the cities and introduces new buildings and mechanics. In addition, this update is accompanied by a technical optimization (Devlog XVIII: AUREUS) that improves the game performance on a wide range of PCs. With this crossing of the Rubicon, Citadelum begins a new stage. Our strategy and city building game is even better and bigger, thanks to you.
