Swordship

We've been hard at work to deliver a cool 1.1 update for Swordship! The main areas of changes are a new "arranged" game mode for our most dedicated players and a revamped progression system for all our new pilots. Plus new upgrades, balancing, readability improvements, new boss patterns and more. Arranged mode Swordship is all about adaptation to ever changing emergent situations. In arranged mode those situations will stay the same for an entire week. so you can optimize your run. Here comes a new way of playing the game and beating scores for our beloved high skilled players! 3 Lines, 3 Squadrons, 3 Boss phases and weather selected randomly All game elements appear in the same order and location for all players A separate leaderboard from the original mode Progression Progression was a big concern upon release. The “high-score”-only approach was too simple and the menu was confusing. We made the progression more fun by unlocking content with various new conditions. All this comes with a better progression tracker to see all the cool stuff that remains to unlock. All unlocks are now split into categories to better readability Added persistent unlocks for more variet

We are already at the end of the year. Time has passed much too fast for us, especially these last months leading up to the release of Swordship. We would like to thank you players for your feedback, livestreams and comments on social media. We were also very happy to read the press reviews - most of which were very positive and constructive. It made us feel good ;) We also see this feedback as an opportunity to review our list of priorities for what we plan to fix in the next patch. We're a small team and we can't do everything at once, but all this feedback definitely helps us a lot and we're doing our best to make the game even better. We encourage you to keep climbing the leaderboards, to share more of your thoughts on Swordship and to recommend it to your friends. We'll be back in January with some announcements about what features we'll be integrating into the game in the coming months. Slowly but surely, things are getting serious: Today is Saturday, December 3, and that means the release of Swordship is only 2 days away! On the one hand, we can't wait to see you play our fast paced dodge’em up, but on the other hand, we're nervous as hell about it... Ha ha, but I'm sure every developer knows these feelings from releasing a game. ːsteamhappyː But that's not exactly what I wanted to tell you about. I wanted to tell you about what actually a "dodge'em up" is. Our dodge'em up flips the script on the traditional arcade shooter. You have no weapons. You have to turn the enemies on themselves by dodging, weaving and diving. You are the pilot of one of the namesake ships, and it's your task to collect containers and deliver them. Sounds simple, doesn't it? But nope, we won't make it that easy for you. And in order not to die the permanent roguelike death (again and again and again), you need tactics and sharp reflexes!
