July was all about improving the level editor, and it has honestly become one of the biggest quality-of-life improvements so far. I received lots of feedback on how to improve the handling, and after many iterations, I’m really pleased with the result. Building levels is now much faster, smoother and much more enjoyable.Using the improved editor, I added two new chapters, each with their own mechanics, visuals and levels. The icicles were particularly challenging to get right, but they have become my favorite game mechanic. They add a challenging twist and a dynamic way to design levels and interactions. There were a few issues with the Steam review and controller support, which caused a slight delay, but I managed to release the game and it is now officially available on Steam. And development doesn’t stop here. I already have ideas for new mechanics, and I’m planning a free content update for fall with a new chapter, more levels and cosmetic additions.I’m also organizing community level contests with prizes, so creators can get involved and bring their own ideas to life. More news on that soon. 🌱💚

June was an incredibly exciting month! Next Fest gave Gravity Grove a lot of visibility and I received lots of feedback from you. I was really happy about the positive messages, as well as the constructive criticism. I spent most of June fixing bugs in the editor and improving the UI and scene navigation. I am now satisfied with the results and have updated the demo. Another big milestone in June was integrating the workshop. This went smoothly, but it still took some effort and time to integrate functions such as in-game voting and displaying scores. I have started work on customizations and achievements, both of which will be expanded in July. If all goes to plan, the game will be released in August. 🌱💚

May was a super productive month!I quickly finished the April tasks and added several new levels. I also refined the visuals a few times, and they're now much cleaner in time for Next Fest. However, a few animations still need improvement for the full release.I spent a lot of time playtesting in May, fixing game crashes, bugs and softlocks that curious players uncovered. The most challenging task was redesigning the menu and level structure and I’m super happy with the results. Since the early access version had no sound, I added audio and updated the Steam page with new assets and an updated trailer.I also registered for additional events after Next Fest and am excited to add Steam Workshop support this month.Oh, and the demo is out now! It launched in early June after a short delay in the Steam review process, but it's now live and playable. 🌱💚

April was a big behind-the-scenes month. I published my first Steam build and began testing it on various hardware. During that process I ran into some issues with the Linux version, but in the end figured out how to get it running smoothly. I upgraded the settings and accessibility menu and implemented full controller support. This took more time than planned, so I only finished 19 of the 35 demo levels and some placeholder art still needs replacing. These tasks will be wrapped up in early May.Thanks to the beta feedback, May will also see a camera rework: you will be able to tilt the cube to preview the next side before walking over an edge. The demo is still on track for mid-to-end of May and I’m looking forward to sharing it with you! 🌱💚
