First of all, we're happy to say that we could finally bring to you today! When I first played Inked, I felt the same as most previous players, the artwork is just beautiful (and Nameless Hero is just so cute), the game control was somewhat awkward, but I was soon engulfed by the story. I surprisingly discovered that the game had only sold around 2,000 copies...hmmm, perhaps they have set the price too high. For the developers Somnium Games, Inked is their first game. This is an incredibly valuable experience for them, and it deserves to be enjoyed by more players. Together we have spent over a year to polish and optimize the game to do it justice. Since then, the gameplay has improved for the better and the story is more engrossing. Through Inked: A Tale of Love, we hope take you on an immersive & beautiful adventure in the world of ink and paper, which you will also find some fun throughout the journey. Without further ado, we have adjusted the price to $9.99, a fair price for the game. If you prefer the older version of the game, you can still find it in the open beta track. The lovely, colourful ballpoint pen artwork is hard to forget. In the last dev story, we covered the initial development and release of Inked. Today we will take a look at how the feedback and reviews after the game’s release prompted the team to deeply analyze the game, and come up with ways to improve it. This postmortem of the game was supposed to be a guideline on how to do better at any future projects, but eventually became the foundation for the new and improved Inked which you are patiently waiting for today. Edi, Creative Director @ Somnium Games After the release of the game, some reviews were pretty negative and it was pretty hard to face them. While a lot of feedback made perfect sense, there was still an amount of disbelief at the general critical reception because we couldn’t believe that after listening to player feedback the game still fell through in some aspects. We analyzed the feedback in more detail and realized that the game could have been better if we didn’t listen and tried to make everyone happy. And for any designers reading this, the following would be the first takeaway: While game designing player feedback is always important, following that feedback blindly can lead to problems. 스팀 공지퍼즐이 많이 불편하게 설계되어있음. 하나부터 열까지 다 내가 하는 식으로. 스토리도 꽤나 답답하고 나레이션말고는 성우도 없음. 그래픽은 개성있지만 눈아픔.
감성 퍼즐 게임 스테이지마다 다른 기믹을 풀어서 주인공을 위해 발판도 마련하고 문도 열고 그러는 퍼즐 게임이다 뭔가 기믹이 특별한건 없고 퍼즐도 많이 어렵거나 아주 참신한것 없이 무난무난했다 조작이 좀 불편했는데 특히 물체랑 상호 작용할때 눌러도 반응 안하거나 캐릭이 방해하고 있어서 물체를 놓거나 잡기가 힘들거나 등 소소하게 스트레스를 받아서 감점 요소였다 스토리도 뭔가 갑자기 화자가 급
1. 조작감이 매우 구림. 내가 원하는 곳에 원하는 물체를 놓는 게 쉽지도 않을 뿐더러, 조작 자체가 은근히 불편함. 2. 생각보다 왜색이 심함. 엔딩을 봐도 굳이 왜색이 있어야했나 싶을 정도로 굳이 굳이 싶음. 3. 스토리는 단연 최악. 현실의 화가가 자기 기분 나쁘다고 그림 속 주인공을 괴롭힘. 그래놓고 엔딩에서 주인공이 깨달음을 줬다고 드디어 깨달았다고 하는 게 도대체 무슨 내러티브인지
조작법이 단순한데 단순한 조작 방식을 이용한 다양한 퍼즐이 훌륭. 그래픽의 아름다움은 비교할 수 없을 수준. 중간중간 난이도가 상승하는 추가 기믹이 있지만 대체로 2시간 정도면 클리어 가능함.
