Hello Reapers, I’m sorry these bugs interrupted your runs. Thank you for the reports and for your patience while I worked through the causes. This update focuses on critical bugs, fewer hitches, and localization. Gameplay balance and core mechanics are unchanged. Performance and fewer hitches Reduced repeated asset searches during saves, exploration and soul rewards, along with unnecessary runtime setup. Adjusted audio loading to reduce the first-use pauses I investigated. Spread recurring UI checks across frames and reduced unnecessary card text and tooltip rebuilds. Reduced repeated scene searches during painting updates and battle tooltip cleanup. The loading screen’s “Your Demise” text now follows your selected language. Battle and progression Fixed identified causes of battle input becoming unresponsive, including card and text lifecycle errors and interrupted action cleanup. Fixed shop initialization and reward transitions that could leave shops empty or prevent reward screens from opening. Fixed errors when location visuals were removed or reused during movement. Saves and run displays Corrected restoration of maximum health, permanent cards and Soulword slots when loading.

Hello Reapers, Been awhile since the last update! This Autumn Steam Sale went live recently and we had quite the outcome of new players all over the world! Woot! Since there are now so many players playing the game, many issues were brought up that needed to be addressed immediately! Thank you for sending in your reports, screenshots, and feedback. I've been working through the empty vendor shops, interrupted Grim gifts, missing text, and progress lost after Continue. This update also makes cards and menus easier to read and use with a controller specifically for SteamDeck. Let's go through the biggest fixes: VENDOR SHOPS An alive vendor should have cards to sell. Some players were finding shops with perks but no cards, even after leaving and coming back. These fixes address the shop's loading, reopening, and saved stock. Fixed living vendors reopening with empty card slots because the shop still thought its missing stock was ready. Fixed Buy buttons staying disabled after the cards finished loading. Buttons now respond to the actual offer in each slot. Continue restores the current shop visit, including the cards still for sale and the empty slots you already purcha

Several resource-intensive systems were also starting simultaneously while the scene was still being prepared.This update includes the following improvements:Fixed an issue that could leave Linux and Steam Deck players permanently stuck on the Loading Scene.Added additional safeguards that allow the Gameplay scene to continue activating when loading takes longer than expected.Improved Steam Deck detection so the device is less likely to be identified as a generic Linux computer.Steam Deck now immediately starts at its native 1280 × 800 resolution.Added a stability-focused 30 FPS Steam Deck graphics profile.Delayed several resource-intensive battle systems until after the Gameplay scen
