Hey everyone! Just wanted to share a quick update on recent changes and the release plan for Monday Syndrome. The BIGgest news is... Monday Syndrome is participating in OTK Expo and BIG Summer Showcase! Don't forget to tune in to OTK Expo on May 25 and to BIG Summer Showcase on Jun 3! Here’s the quick rundown: Big systems like inventory and crafting were revamped for more action. Monday Syndrome is coming to Early Access. Changes to the game Following changes will be reflected on the Steam store page soon. Since Steam Next Fest, the game has evolved a lot. It's leaning more into its roguelite roots now. I simplified the weapon system by removing inventory menus and focusing on one weapon at a time to keep things fast-paced and fluid (which also meant removing multi-weapon loadouts), and introduced a meta mechanic that makes it easier to experiment with different weapons. Hey everyone, welcome to first and latest "In Progress"! I'll be updating you when I am working on a major change, sharing what I did and what I will add to the demo. With Steam Next Fest, I had a lot of feedback. I was able to fix most of the bugs and add additional content. But, one feedback was not doable in a short time. UX. When I was first building up the onboarding, I thought to myself, "if we see that we are using a computer, that would be cool and funny. like we were working and just got up and started kicking butts". This worked for the most part, but I couldn't figure out how I should implement the "getting up" part. Most of the playtesters are gamers, so they instinctively moved and started playing the game when the scene changed. However, when I checked the feedback form from Next Fest players, they were mostly lost. Playtime statistics show that too. Most of the players are leaving in the first few minutes of the game, ones who figure out how the game starts keep playing the game for more than 20 minutes.
