TRAILER: (Offering a peek into new pick-ups, maps, & runners) Taking extra time is crucial for our team to give the game much-needed polish before shipping it. Moving the previously announced July release window to early September is a perfect opportunity to add that polish. Speaking of polishing, you all can actively participate in that process. Starting from now, we're deactivating the public demo. Shortly, a Community Playtest will kick off instead of the demo, and you can already sign up for it. This prize pool will be going entirely to the competitors in the 2026 King of Speed tournament. Any individual that donates at least $5 will receive this year's supporter badge, provided that they contact me to redeem it (you can message me through Discord or Steam). Additionally, I will be personally matching up to $200 in contributions to the prize pool. Unfortunately we do not have the single-click free donation this year (trying to get that set up is a main reason why this announcement is late), though that may change at some point prior to the tournament. It has now been exactly 10 years since SpeedRunners officially released on Steam. To celebrate, the KOSTV team has some announcements that we would like to make! King of Speed TV Streams Coming to YouTube! Starting with the monthly coming on the 25th, we intend to start multistreaming so that tournaments can be watched live on YouTube in addition to Twitch. This means that VODs will now be much more up to date, although featured matches from the tournaments will still be delayed. The Curated Map Survey Is Underway! As it has been 6 months since the last one, we are once again running a survey to determine which maps should be present in the curated workshop list, which allows them to be played in ranked lobbies and tournaments. The survey has been updated to hopefully make it more clear that that is why we are asking for opinions on maps.
