THE INFECTION GOES CINEMATIC Key moments no longer pass by as a line in the log. This update turns them into full-screen staged scenes — with procedural sound built frame by frame. Global event scenes The flamethrower burns its target, the quarantine chamber seals around a suspect, a heavy door is barricaded shut, and the axe decides — lift the quarantine or smash the door. Each scene sounds its own way: the roar of flame, the clang of steel, the hydraulics of the hatch. Run the match from your phone Laptop out of reach? Not a problem anymore. Players can start a match by a unanimous vote straight from their phones. And if someone leaves mid-game and the match hangs on pause, a majority returns the table to the lobby without waiting for the one who's gone. You can vote for a new match right from the end screen too. A new endgame on your phone The end-of-match screen is reimagined: a bold personal verdict — did you survive or not, your role and your side's fate, a match summary and a dossier of the whole crew with roles revealed. Gather your crew and work out who among you is no longer human — now with even more tension.

This patch fixes the two most reported issues: Windows: the game now runs in borderless fullscreen instead of exclusive fullscreen. This fixes freezes caused by conflicts with background apps (launchers, overlays — e.g. CLaunch), and Alt-Tab / window switching now works normally. Windows: added a fallback windowed mode — launch with --windowed (Steam: Properties → Launch Options). iPhone: the on-screen keyboard now opens reliably when entering your name — iOS players can join the game normally. TRAINING PROTOCOL ACTIVE The most dangerous part of an expedition is not knowing what to do after the first alarm. Update v1.3 completely rebuilds NECHTO’s opening minutes: the game now guides a new group from connecting their phones to their first full match. Two stages of interactive training The tutorial is no longer just a reference page. It is a guided demonstration layered directly over the real interface. The Lobby stage covers interface scale and master volume, QR scanning, connecting several phones, and inviting remote groups with a short code. The Game stage explains secret roles, turn phases, drawing and playing cards, choosing a target, defense, mandatory exchanges, and the hidden spread of infection. Dedicated scenes break down barricaded doors, quarantine, dead players, direction of play, and victory conditions. Tutorial players and cards exist only inside the demonstration: they take no seats in the real lobby and never affect an active match. THE SIGNAL HOLDS Online mode is live — and this update makes it safer to use during a real party. Distant crews are easier to invite, temporary signal loss is less dangerous, and the table now earns Steam progress. Friend invites through Steam and Discord Steam Rich Presence advertises the active lobby for Join Game. Discord presence carries the room code and supports Ask to Join. Both paths lead into the same Steam lobby; transport stays on Steam Datagram Relay. More resilient online rooms Host migration restores the latest game snapshot on the new owner. Disconnected host groups get a recovery window instead of instant removal. Returning phones receive a targeted state resend after rejoin. Delayed stale leave events are guarded against. Lobby ghost players from disconnected groups are cleaned up before match start.
