I won’t go into detail here, as everything is covered in the changelog below.Stage 2 is not available in Playtest. It is available only to all current game owners and includes the remastered DLC versions.Stage 2 is now primarily focused on performance testing and optimization across the new and updated maps. Ultimate Fishing Simulator began as a small prototype and a big dream in late 2015. We launched in Early Access on Steam in 2017 and released the full version in 2018. Since then, we have consistently expanded the game with new mechanics, maps, features, and DLCs, improving it year after year.At the start of 2024, we set out on our boldest adventure yet: creating a completely free Remastered version. For our small team, it has been a mountain to climb. Every day, we chase a single vision - to deliver a richer visual and gameplay experience while preserving the heart of the original. I’ve lost track of how many times we’ve switched Unity versions, rebuilt maps, or wrestled with lighting, skies, and water. Updating a project this old is like playing whack-a-mole: fix one thing, and ten more pop up. The technical debt was daunting, but we’ve conquered it, and now the Remaster is finally nearing the finish line.Thank you for sticking with us over the years and for being patient as we worked on changes behind the scenes. Hello Everyone,Stage 1 is a huge milestone — the entire map has been rebuilt from scratch. With it comes a brand-new sky system, a new water system, an updated weather system, and fully refreshed fish and gear models. Our goal has been simple: to make the game look and feel better than ever, while maintaining the same smooth performance and frame rate as before.The Challenges Along the WayThe road to this point wasn’t easy. Along the way, we encountered many surprises - entire features and add-ons stopped working after migrating to the new Unity engine. We had to rebuild and rework them from the ground up to ensure the game remains stable and future-proof. This process took time and effort, but it sets the foundation for all the upcoming stages of the Beta. Hi! It's been a while since the last Status Update and I will say the remastered version is a long and bumpy road. It took tons of time, research, whiteboards, brainstorms, and most of all trying not to affect any game mechanics that have been in the game since 2017. I have to admit (and I believe other members of our small team will agree) that our heads are full of ideas about what we can do, and how we can do it but then here it comes: Engine Update ːsteamthisː. "Aye, why multiplayer is not working?", "The sky disappeared"," Why rods are not bending anymore?" and so on. Huge engine in the backend that is affecting everything that was done in the original version. So what is the current status, based on our previous post (You can read more about it >HERE
