Hi everyone! First of all, THANKS A LOT for the support, every bit of feedback is incredibly valuable and helps me keep improving the game!! 😊 This update is focused on performance improvements after a few reports about slowdowns in the later stages, especially on PCs with lower‑end CPUs. It took me a few days to track down the issue, but I finally managed to improve things significantly. I also fixed a small bug in the typing tutorial, where it was giving 3 experience points instead of 2. I also improved a few collision detections. Here comes the second major update after just one week! I truly want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the amazing support and patience you’ve shown while helping me improve Nightfall Empress. Your feedback has been incredibly valuable, and I’m really grateful for all the help in making the game better! ❤️ Quality of Life Improvements: Added an option to set HUD transparency in the settings, making the screen much more visible during gameplay. Awareness Orbs now have improved physics (though sadly they’ve lost the “vintage charm” of getting stuck on ceilings like an old Amiga game XD)You can now skip the main intro (via the MENU button on Xbox controller or the Esc key on the keyboard) IMPORTANT NOTE: Steam Overlay: on 22/05/2026 I released another update that finally enables full support for it, allowing achievements to appear on screen and screenshots to be taken properly. Bug Fixes: Fixed input/timing issues on very high-performance PCs. Fixed church enemy projectiles. Fixed Cursed Block sound effects. Fixed running delay. Fixed Lamia jump animation. Fixed cemetery enemy sounds. Fixed rotating trap.

Your feedback and support are helping us improve the experience every day! ❤️ Quality of Life Improvements: STAMINA: We tried to find a balance between the feedback we received and the original vision for the game. Stamina now gradually regenerates over time, while pressing DOWN still activates the Stamina boost for faster recovery. The menu now opens on the map section, making navigation more practical and consistent with the current level being played. Sprinting now consumes less Stamina. Stamina regeneration is now slightly faster (0.3 instead of 0.4 without upgrades). Bug Fixes: Fixed the flying enemy issue in Stage 5. Fixed the mine cart issue (under certain conditions it could get stuck). Fixed the wheel issue in Stage 2 (under certain conditions it could move slower than intended). Fixed the final boss issue (under certain conditions it could behave slower than intended).
