AI is Home - Survival Thriller

This is the first major update for AI is Home.This first patch was supposed to be only a localization update. But over the past week, many of you went through the game line by line: you sent screenshots, pointed out strange translations, found objectives that could get stuck, and caught small problems I had simply stopped seeing after staring at this house for too long.So the update grew. It is built from those reports. Thank you.FIRST, SOME HONESTY ABOUT LOCALIZATIONIf you followed the game before release, you know localization has been my weak spot. It delayed the launch by a week, and even after I cut the release build down to English only, some placeholder and template or non-sense AI generated lines slipped into the game. Several reviews pointed this out, and they were right to.So let me be transparent about how the languages are made. The game was written in Polish, with English as the close second source, but highly supported with AI translation. Every other language is translated from those two, with machine translation doing main part of the work. I review and correct as much as I can, but the quality in those languages may still fall short of the Polish and English versio

Today. 3:00 PM UTC. It is finally happening. AI is Home releases today, August 6, at 5:00 PM CEST / 3:00 PM UTC. I know I was supposed to write that last week. The last week was rough AI is Home was originally meant to release on July 30. In the final stretch, I made a mistake in the way the game's translations were configured. Because of that, the build could not get Valve's green light and the release had to be put on hold. The mistake itself was fixed quickly. But once the corrected build was submitted, it had to go through review again. So I spent the next few days doing the one thing no runaway AI wants to do: waiting for permission. I am sorry to everyone who was waiting on July 30. Being that close to release and still unable to press the button was frustrating. Thank you for being patient with me. One important note about languages At launch, only English will be enabled. All other languages have been temporarily switched off. They are not gone. I am checking the localization setup properly, and they will return in the next patch. We are already working to resolve it together with Steam.Because of this, AI is Home did not launch at the scheduled time. However, depending on how quickly the issue can be resolved, the release may take place within the next few days instead. July 30. It is really happening.Today I finally get to type the sentence I have been circling around for months: AI is Home releases on July 30.That is the short version. I tried to act on as much of that feedback as I could.
