Immerse yourself in Backspace Backspace Backspace, a narrative-driven game that explores the inner turmoil of a struggling writer in an age where AI has made the written word wholly automated.
Game Features: · Narrative-focused visual novella putting the player in the shoes of a tortured creative soul.
· Homemade pixel art direction reminiscent of the GBA era.
· Full soundtrack of chiptune-style music.
· Meaningful choices.
· Dialogue available in nine languages (so far!): English, Arabic, Turkish, French, Chinese (traditional & simplified), Korean, Russian, Vietnamese, and Japanese! Get in touch if you can help localize the game in other languages.
· Two endings. Try to get both!
We made this game in one week. Debugging and further touch-ups took two months. We never created pixel art or original music before, but we used this project as an opportunity to push ourselves outs

Hello hello! Our second patch update is here. Thank you for reporting! Bug Fixes: - Fixed canvas aspect ratio on 1080p monitors, thanks to Abdullah Hamed for the help! - Fixed typos in Turkish and minor punctuations in English. - Fixed showing the background main menu video on Steam Deck. - Music/SFX slider now works! Can't believe we shipped the game while they were broken... Known bugs to be fixed... Someday: - On some devices, after finishing the game and rolling the credits, pressing esc doesn't take you to the main menu :(
