This Friday, January 31, at 12:00 PM PST, The Behemoth wants YOU to challenge us at our own game. A customary competition at our tradeshows, we wanted to open up a special challenge for EVERYONE in celebration of BEHEMOTH’s Challenge Mode update! Join studio co-founders Dan Paladin and John “John Behemoth” Baez as we dodge, flap, and duck through the newly added Challenge Mode in BEHEMOTH! We will be live on Twitch, YouTube, and Steam beginning at 12:00 PM PST competing against EVERYONE who is actively playing the ALL NEW Challenge Mode! Beat us and win a BEHEMOTH Klean Kanteen from our merch store. Calling all big chicken enthusiasts! Remember when we challenged ourselves with a One-Hit Chicken Dinner BEHEMOTH game mode on stream last year? Well, today is the day Challenge Mode officially lands in your shiny, feathery wings! Updates: New Game Mode – Challenge Mode has arrived! Features – 6 Challenge Mode achievements have been added! Features – A new Challenge Mode leaderboard has been added. Language – European Portuguese is now supported. Various bug fixes have been destroyed by falling cantaloupe! BEHEMOTH received a quick fix today to remedy an issue preventing certain users from unlocking certain achievements. Fixes Achievements: Players who already have everything unlocked will now be able to get the following achievements without having to reset their progress: "Gotta get down on Friday” and “Which seat should I take?” Chickens rejoice! Updates: Features – 33 achievements have been added! Gameplay – Removed small increase of speed per checkpoint Gameplay – Decreased fork speed Fixes: Art – Fixed a couple of chicken cosmetic items Audio – Fixed a bug where the sunflower seed blocker SFX occasionally continues to play after the powerup is gone Audio – Adjustments have been made to the cockadoodledoo-nimals What’s next for this chicken game? Last week, we teased a new challenge mode in BEHEMOTH, where colliding with any eggshell, knife, or hatchet means instant death! Or in the chicken’s case, instant chicken dinner… We ran a poll on our YouTube channel asking if you wanted this mode added to the game, and 93% of you chicken gamers voted yes! Sooooo next up, we’ll be working on implementing this game mode in BEHEMOTH, in addition to possibly adding a much chiller, no death, only FLYING mode. The more we think about it, the chicken probably deserves a moment of respite after all this chaos. No thoughts, no cares, only BEHEMOTH.
