Hey! Thank you for still having Arctic Eggs deep in your hearts. But, we both know it wasn't the eggs that kept you coming back. It was the cigarettes. I just wanted to drop by and let you know that there was a big update to my next games playtest, and cigarettes have been added. I am not sure what their purpose is yet. Originally I was going to just drop that news here and leave, but figured it'd be wise to give some more context.About Fishing - Playtest 2.0 is live right nowIt's a mystery fishing game where you cast your line into calm water and occasionally pull up things that were never meant to be found. Think Shenmue meets Sega Bass Fishing, with a female protagonist in a yellow raincoat. The first playtest had over 25,000 of you show up. 96.5% rated it positive. What's new in Playtest 2.0?The biggest change is casting. It's more physics-based now - rebuilt completely. The feedback from the first playtest kept circling back to the line physics. Lots of people praised the way you could interact with the Trout puzzle, and that helped me realize I was leaving so many opportunities on the table. So I rebuilt it from the ground up.The line doesn't just

Hi everyone, I just wanted to drop by with a small update: I’ve been working on a new game for a while now, and I am finally able to talk about it! It’s called About Fishing, and it’s a game about fishing. Give it a Wishlist if it looks like something you'd be interested in! There is also a playtest live right now that you can check out here as well: It’s a short slice (15-20 minutes), but enough to get a feel for what I’ve been up to. Thanks again for all the love for Arctic Eggs. Because of your support I have been given the freedom to continue to creating games about whatever I personally find interesting, which I couldn't be more thankful for. I won't let you down, and thank you again! - Kevin (The Water Museum) Steam

{STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/44827864/000ee93db44f2f65db557b385c33cd62c878f3d7.png I am beyond excited to announce that Arctic Eggs is getting a vinyl release, featuring the full soundtrack composed by the beautiful Cameron Ginex! Stumpy Frog Records & Lost In Cult Records have collaborated to put these tunes to wax with art by codex noirmatic. Limited to 300 copies and sold jointly through SFR & LIC, buy them at either store front! I don’t feel like it’s a stretch to say that Cameron's music isn’t just part of Arctic Eggs—it is Arctic Eggs. His soundtrack gave the game its identity, transforming what could have easily just been a bleak and oppressive experience into something far more complex, interesting, and even unexpectedly comforting (at times). As a close friend of his for many years, I view this as a celebration of everything he has poured into his craft, and I couldn’t be happier that his work gets to live on like this. Thank you again for the continued support!

It’s been a year since the initial Jam version of Arctic Eggs was released, and I just wanted to take a moment and reflect on it as the jam version is a really interesting piece of the games history, and obviously the thing that got the whole ball rolling. For those unfamiliar, a game jam is a contest where developers sign up to create a complete game within a set time frame. Arctic Eggs was made during The Big Mode Game Jam, a two-week-long event hosted by YouTuber Dunkey. Looking back, I’m still amazed by the support Arctic Eggs received during the jam. I vividly remember the week after the game dropped — all my free time was spent just watching every new play through I could find. While the gameplay kept people engaged, what surprised me most was how much the small bits of writing resonated with players. Seeing how people connected with this little slice of a world was incredibly inspiring, and watching so many playthroughs gave me valuable insight into what worked and what could be improved. WASD Pan movement So probably the first change that got made was I removed was the ability to use WASD to slightly adjust the pan's position. In fact I removed it while watching Dunkey
