Update Oct. 30: Islands of Insight is now offline-only. Seekers, our final Islands of Insight update will arrive on October 30, 2024, which will permanently modify the game to be offline-only. This will allow Islands of Insight to live on for all Seekers to find and enjoy, while we focus our efforts onto our next projects. For what to expect, here is what you need to know: The online servers will officially shutdown on October 30, 2024 Any online progression that is not transferred before October 30 will be lost There are no plans for more content to support the offline version All the online features will no longer be available Puzzles will continue to respawn throughout all zones There will be no bug fixes/balance changes with the final update, however we are reducing the frequency of player position saving in response to community feedback about SSD wear and potential file corruption. Seekers, we are so happy to announce that our Offline Mode will be released on July 9! This addition provides you, our dedicated players, and new players with more flexibility in how you enjoy the islands and our beautiful puzzles. Play Anywhere‍ With our Offline Mode, you no longer need to be tethered to an internet connection. You can experience Islands of Insight without worrying about unreliable connection and delays. A Mode Brimming With Puzzles Our offline mode is brimming with puzzles. The mode has the same biomes and puzzles quantity and diversity as the online version. Puzzles will also respawn, and you will be able to do daily quests. What to Expect‍ Our goal is to have a similar experience between the online mode and the offline version. It's important to understand that any social / online functionality, like emoting or pinging other players will not be available in this mode. With this mode being exclusively available in single player, some content has been balanced, modified or removed. Hello Seekers, Today we released an update with new content and technical improvements! Read below for details: New Content Added The Archipelago of Curiosities—a large bonus endgame Enclave featuring some unusual and creative twists on your favourite puzzles. The entrance is off to the side of the Haven of Insight along the path toward Serene Deluge. Added new grid rules and a new grid symbol. Awaken them by completing Bent Into Shape and Nearsighted—two new challenges in Autumn Falls and Serene Deluge respectively. New puzzles using each rule will spawn daily in the areas surrounding those challenges. Added Two for One, Cross the Streams, Found the Difference, The Puzzle Cube, and See Serpents—five new themed logic grid challenges spread across the map. Added Ground Away—a tricky group of Pillars of Insight in Serene Deluge. Added a fresh pack of high-difficulty logic grids along the path between the Haven of Insight and the entrance to Shattered Library.
