Mazey Village is Steam Deck Ready!From the very beginning, we wanted Mazey Village to feel just as cozy curled up on the couch as it does behind a desk. While we're focusing on the PC Early Access launch first, we'd love to bring Mazey Village to consoles in the future. A Nintendo Switch version is something we'd like to explore for the full 1.0 release, but for now our priority is making the PC version the best it can be. That being said...........Full Controller Support 🎮 Mazey Village was designed with controllers in mind, so everything works naturally on Steam Deck.Controls aren't currently rebindable in-game, but we've carefully designed the layout to keep everything comfortable, intuitive, and easy to use.Performance 🔋We've tried to optimize our game as best as possible to make sure it runs smoothly on Steam Deck.Depending on your preferred balance between visuals and battery life, you'll be able to choose from multiple graphics presets. Localization Update 💬Mazey Village is going to be available in multiple languages, and I'd like to give everyone an update on what you can expect! At launch, Mazey Village will support the following languages:EnglishDutchSimplified ChineseTraditional ChineseFrenchGermanItalianJapaneseKoreanPortuguese (Brazil)Portuguese (Portugal)RussianSpanish (Spain)Spanish (Latin America)To make all of these supported languages possible, I created an automated translation workflow and then spent a lot of time reviewing and improving the results manually. I tried my best to check every piece of text, but with the large amount of dialogue in the game, you may still come across the occasional mistake or sometimes "literal" translation. While we tried to polish every language, it's simply impossible for a two-person indie team to catch everything before launch. We felt it was better to make the game accessible to players around the world now and continue improving the translations with your feedback. Hello everyone! We're excited to announce that Mazey Village will be launching in Early Access in August 2026! We've also recently refreshed our Steam page with updated screenshots, visuals, and many of the features that have been added during development. Over the past years we've been building a cozy adventure focused on exploration, village restoration, collecting, and helping a community recover after a devastating tornado. We're now at the point where the game is playable from beginning to end, and we're spending our time polishing the experience, fixing bugs, improving performance, and adding quality-of-life features. What will be available at launch? The Early Access version will feature the complete first major event arc centered around the tornado's destruction and the rebuilding of the village.
