일단 알래스카 골드러쉬 시기는 1890년 후반대에서 1900년대 초반까지 집중적으로 일어났음. 이는 무슨말이냐 하면은 세계 역사속에서 산업혁명을 이끌은 주역중 하나인 증기기관의 등장이 18세기 후반인 1770년대 후반부터 세상에 적극적으로 적용되기 시작했는데 알래스카 골드러쉬 시기때에도 증기기관을 적극적으로 활용하기 시작했다는 말임.
