Hello Hoteliers! Last week we launched the 'Dynamic Lighting' update and you have very quickly got to work on designing well-lit hotels across the globe, many of which I'm sure will make it into our August community highlights blog at the end of the month! In case you missed the patch notes, you can check them out here: we're focusing on the dynamic lighting update and all that's included within it! What does Dynamic Lighting do? As the name suggests, dynamic lighting allows light sources to illuminate the area! Previously, lamps and fires only used emissive materials and didn't actually brighten up their surroundings.You can see the difference it makes below! New Lighting Items The Dynamic Lighting update includes over 20 new light items which includes spotlights, garden lamps and wall lamps, some of which you can find below. You can find these items in the new 'Lights' category in the items menu. The Results! You will start to notice that your spaces are now lit beautifully inside and out, meaning your guests can enjoy all aspects of your hotel whether it's daytime or night time! Hello Hoteliers!We are thrilled to announce, that as part of the Six One Demo Days Steam Event, that we are re-launching the Hotel Architect demo! The week-long demo event kicks off tonight with a presentation and livestream, and spotlights around 250 indie developers, so we are honoured to be included within this! We have been hard at work updating the demo (which we last released in November 2025), the new brand-new demo includes: The Gothenburg MapThe Gothenburg Scenario (with four main objectives) New features and items (including balconies, fencing, outdoor items, etc). Hello Hoteliers! To celebrate the start of the Steam Summer Sale (where Hotel Architect will be 22% off!) we have just released a brand-new update for you all! This new update includes new items, quality of life improvements, and bug fixes! V1.0.2 Patch Notes: 🏨 What's New:Added Dressers (basic, premium, and luxury variants) that can be used as a substitute for Wardrobes. Added single beds in Art Deco style. Added pillow decorations to Premium single beds. Added 3 new door types. 🛎️Quality of Life Improvements:Added 150+ unique guest characters. Improved visual overlay presentation (Cleanliness, Attractiveness, Temperature). Litter now affects the Cleanliness visual overlay. Made it clearer when a Sauna isn't warm enough. Improved staff pathing (for example when Receptionists walk behind desks and Waiters pick up meals from serving bench). Staff now choose the nearest staffroom when taking breaks. Supply service countdown now also shown in Supply stand info window. 🐛Bug Fixes:Fixed calculation of "Will pay" amount in bedrooms on Challenging difficulty. Fixed bug in "Guest door access" logic that could block specific staff tasks in Restaurant and Bar. P

Today we have a brand-new update for you (v1.0.1) which includes several community requests (including new items and decorations!) as well as quality of life improvements and bug fixes! Thank you for all of your thoughts, feedback, and bug reports since launch, we've been hard at work to address as much as possible in our latest update.
