Make sure your game is updated to version 0.8.10.871. 🎥 Camera Improvements This update brings a major round of improvements to camera controls, responsiveness, and customization. Improved mouse camera movement for smoother and more predictable control. Camera rotation now responds consistently to mouse movement speed, removing the previous reversed acceleration feeling. Adjusted the maximum camera zoom-in distance to improve camera movement and overall usability, especially while driving and building. ⚙️ New Camera Settings Added a new Mouse - Camera Sensitivity option, allowing you to better adjust camera sensitivity based on your mouse DPI and hardware. Added Automatically Follow Character Direction. When On, the camera automatically follows the direction your character is moving without requiring manual rotation. Off by default. Added On-Foot - Camera Follow Delay. Controls how long the camera waits before smoothly realigning with your character's direction when Auto-Follow is enabled. Your feedback helps me understand what works, what doesn't, what feels frustrating, and what needs to become better. A lot has already changed because of it. 🛠️ The Ranchers today is already better! Since July 30, I've released several updates and hotfixes focused on bugs, clarity, quality of life and some of the most common issues reported by players. Make sure your game is updated to version 0.8.10.868. 🌱 Plantation Improvements This update brings another big clarity pass to plantations, especially around understanding why seeds or produce were lost, damaged, or reduced in quality. When seeds or produce are affected by a plantation issue, you will now receive an alert on the End of Day screen explaining what happened. The reason will also be displayed directly in the affected Plantation Info Popup. Possible reasons include: Seeds were eaten by birds → Place a scarecrow for protection. Some produce was eaten by birds → Place a scarecrow for protection. The plantation was destroyed by a season change → Make sure crops are planted during the correct season. The plantation dried out from lack of water → Keep your plantations watered. Produce quality dropped because of weeds → Remove weeds regularly. Addressed all currently known cases that could cause farm animals to disappear. A huge thank you to ❤️ alfafreakgaming ❤️ and ❤️ jennoula ❤️ for helping me battle-test the ranching systems and track down some extremely tricky edge cases! When one of your animals becomes sick, you will now receive an alert on the End of Day screen. Fixed an issue where players could receive death alerts for animals owned by NPCs. Rebalanced animal sickness duration to make animal care more forgiving, especially for newer players: Chickens: now remain sick for 4 days before dying, up from 2 days. Cows: now remain sick for 7 days, up from 3 days. Goats: now remain sick for 8 days, up from 3 days. Rabbits: now remain sick for 5 days, up from 3 days. 🌐 Multiplayer Multiplayer stability and solo play have received some important improvements.
