Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition

Each rotation will always feature a set number of open, closed, hybrid, and naval maps to keep a balanced set of maps in play at all times. This means that you'll see more varied maps more frequently in Ranked play!

With this one, we’re addressing a number of balance issues and bugs with previously released maps, as well as continuing to balance our civilizations, with a special focus on the Jin Dynasty. In addition to these changes, starting today, you’ll be able to swap between the Keyboard and Mouse and Controller User Interfaces (UI) on PC, including using controller-specific automation tools like the Villager Priority System when using the Controller UI. Not only that, but these changes also allow for more accessible play on the Steam Deck and ROG Xbox Ally devices. Read on to learn more before jumping in game! We’re excited to follow up on last week’s release of Yue Fei’s Legacy and the Season Thirteen update with a few additional changes! While we’re still planning for a larger patch in a few weeks, we heard your concerns about the Jin Dynasty feeling a bit too weak and the Sengoku Daimyo still feeling too strong and have made some changes to address this feedback.
