Following in the footsteps of Windjammers, the cult classic Data East game for the Neo Geo, Windjammers 2 showcases a unique take on disc-based video game sports, complete with a cast of ten varied characters to play as, ten different courts to battle it out on, and a bevy of new mechanics accompanying an already fully featured game system. Today, we're thrilled to announce that your favorite retro flying disc game will finally be coming out on January 20, 2022. Now that the release date is out, I think you all deserve to celebrate the moment with an awesome All-Stars trailer! 🌟 We revealed Windjammers 2 to you in 2019, and since then - rest assured - we have been working wholeheartedly on this project. The wait has been as long for you as it has been for us. Indeed, every time we had to delay Windjammers 2, we were deeply saddened and frustrated. Still, each time we made the best decision possible, whether it was for our team, our love for the license, or our community. Over the years, we have worked so hard to do justice to the original Windjammers, while adding our own ideas. Frame by frame, we analyzed and disassembled the original Windjammers code from 1994. This work took us a very long time, but we had to be sure that our game would be everything the community had hoped for (and more). So yes, Windjammers 2 will not be released in 2021 as promised, but it will be released in the best possible conditions
